Clifton Park 12065 : Remote support for longtime client installed multiple copies of Microsoft Office 365. Did not remember the user name or password. Was able to get the license number, but turned out we did not need it. Installed smoothly on a Windows 7 desktop computer machine but would not (because it can't be) install on a Vista laptop computer. $41.25 plus tax.
Clifton Park 12065 : Remote support solved Epson Workforce Printer refusing to print photos from Windows Photo Viewer on either Windows computer desktop or laptop. Error messages about “Mismatch between the paper type on your computer and printer. Solved for desktop by clearing queue, restarting printer and carefully selecting “Plain Paper” from Windows Photo Viewer print dialog. Laptop could not select plain paper so couldn't print. Best answer for both was to just put photos in a Word document and print that. $41.25 plus tax.
Latham 12110 : Computer repair, in-shop. “I am calling”, she said, “because these pop-ups are driving me CRAZY”! And the pop-ups were the least of her problems. This one had to come in to the shop. Fixed them all, $243.50.
Clifton Park 12065: Client called and said their computer had died. Since I monitor this machine I could see it had not. A few questions determined that it was the monitor, not the computer, that was gone. The monitor was brought into the shop to confirm. Client picked up a new one from Staples or Office Max, which cost much less than a computer, and was up and running again. Even took care of a minor printer/scanner issue while confirming all OK. $55 plus tax
